Daring Discoveries

October 31st, 2019 Posted by Events 0 thoughts on “Daring Discoveries 波瀾不驚”

All breakthroughs and discoveries began with curiosity.

Sailing into the uncharted waters to reveal hidden treasures of humanity or breaking-through into new realms of achievements in creative ventures is every men’s dream; but how many of us have the audacity to pursue our true aspirations and attempt the impossible?

Through the world-record breaking polish diver – Krzysztof Starnawski’s life’s work, we take a deep dive into the mysteries of the world’s underwater caves and uncover our inner-world for remarkable possibilities.

In this festival, the Embassy of Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur, partnered with us to feature not only the groundbreaking underwater cave exhibition, but also an array of Polish and Malaysian artists and creators, showcasing their food, crafts and all things creative.

Join us for a fun family weekend and interact with the kids from all around the world to find out what they have prepared for you as we collectively define what “daring discoveries” means to all of us.

Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting by Malaysian Chinese Educators

October 17th, 2019 Posted by Events 0 thoughts on “Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting by Malaysian Chinese Educators”

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the passing of Mr. Sim Mow Yu, Memorial Lim Lian Geok and Sim Mow Yu Calligraphy Museum will be co-organizing an Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting by Malaysian Chinese Educators from October 26th to 3rd November at GMBB to reminisce and pay tribute to Mr. Sim Mow Yu’s contribution.

Mr. Sim was a reputable educator in the Malaysian Chinese society, and a famous calligrapher. Therefore, the exhibition will bring together calligraphies and paintings by Malaysian Chinese educators and calligraphers to celebrate Mr. Sim’s contribution to Chinese education.

To enhance the variety and depth of the exhibition, more activities that covers other ethnic groups and all ages will be conducted, notably a Chinese education seminar by Mr Poh Seng Titt, exhibition guided tours, a Jawi Calligraphy workshop by Cikgu Ishak Surin, a Tamil Calligraphy workshop by Dr. Velu Perumal, and many other interactive experiences.
